My wedding is coming up next month, what is the most popular style of tuxedo for today’s groom?
|
Well it really depends on your sense of style. Most grooms opt for the traditional formal wear attire, and usually go with a single breasted tuxedo. You will find single breasted groom tuxedos in one, two, and three button jackets. One and two button tuxedo jackets are considered classic, and are most popular for grooms. If you are looking for something a bit more fashion forward, you may want to go with a three button tuxedo. Three button tuxedos are worn these days with a long neck tie and tuxedo vest, instead of the classic cummerbund and bowtie combo.
For those grooms who are the more adventurous types, there some other tuxedos that have a little bit more flair, but are definitely not for everyone. You will notice styles such as the Jean Yves Mirage and the After Six Avalon tuxedos. These tuxedos are definitely not for every groom, as they require a bit more confidence to wear.
Of the groom tuxedos out there, we would probably recommend to stay with the classic styles if you are unsure what to wear. The post popular tuxedo today for groom’s is the 2 button notch tuxedo.

I wanted to wear a vest and tie with my tuxedo, any advice on what to wear?
|
Vests and ties are quite popular today for grooms and their groomsmen. Your option is to wear a tuxedo vest with a long neck tie or the classic bowtie. This is really a personal preference, but the long tie seems to be the more popular of the two for grooms these days. As far as a color is concerned, you will find a wide variety of options in tuxedo vests. We recommend that you speak to the bride about the color of her bridesmaid dresses. The groom and groomsmen quite often match their tuxedo vests with the bridesmaid’s dresses. If your bride is not that particular about the vest her groom and his groomsmen wear, we would probably recommend a black or silver tuxedo vest. You will see a lot of grooms wearing silver or platinum tuxedo vests.
